Saber Hossain Chowdhury, former minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, has been granted bail in six cases filed with Khilgaon and Paltan police stations.
He was granted bail in the four cases on bond of Tk 5000, said Saber Hossain’s lawyer Morshed Hasan Shahin, reports UNB.
A Dhaka court on Monday placed the former minister on a five-day remand in connection with the murder of BNP activist Mokbul in 2022.
The murder case was filed in December 2022, when the BNP announced a political programme in support of their one-point demand.
A team of Detective Branch arrested him from the capital’s Gulshan area on Sunday.
