Police arrested former agriculture minister Md Abdus Shahid from his residence in the city’s Uttara in the early hours of Wednesday.
Muhammad Talebur Rahman, deputy commissioner of the media and public relations of the Detective Branch (DB) of police, confirmed the arrest in a brief message.
