Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman returns home on Saturday after a week-long official visit to South Korea at the invitation of President of Korea Foundation (KF) Gheewhan Kim. He along with President/Vice-Chancellor/Rector of leading universities from 06 countries including USA, Iraq and Palestine visited Korea and participated at an ‘International Exchange Program’ of Korea Foundation.
During this visit Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman took part at different high level meetings of KF and held fruitful bilateral and multilateral talks for strengthening academic, research, innovation, culture and other issues.
Prof. Akhtaruzzaman also met with his counterparts at Korean universities and held discussions of mutual interests specially regarding the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programs among DU and Korean universities.
Besides, DU VC visited Korea National Diplomatic Academy (KNDA), National Institute of Biological Research, KOICA, Seoul National University, Korean National Institute for International Education, Academy of Korean Studies and many other important institutions. He exchanged views regarding Global Talent Development Program, Foreign Scholarship Program, Korean Studies Program, other academic and research programs during his visit to those institutions.
It may be mentioned here that Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman left for South Korea on May 06, 2023.
