Talented actress Quazi Nawshaba Ahmed formed
a theatre group named ‘Together Weekend’ in 2018. So far this
theatre group has staged
dramas ‘Mukti Aloy Aloy’, ‘Alor Khonje’, and ‘Riya Girl with a White Pigeon’.
This time Nawshaba is going to stage a play titled ‘Tribeni’ for children with special abilities. The drama ‘Tribeni’ written by Ezaz Farah and directed by Nawshaba is going to be staged at the beginning of March.
The play has already been rehearsed for a week.
After a few days, Nawshaba will go to Rangpur. She will rehearse for a month with the children with special abilities there. After that, she will take the stage with their play ‘Tribeni’.
At the beginning of March, a theatre festival is going to be held in Dhaka under the joint initiative of the British Council and Dhaka Theatre.
Nawshaba said that the drama ‘Tribeni’ will be staged in this theatre festival.
Nawshaba said she will not act in this drama. She told this correspondent, “After struggling a lot, some of us have established the theatre group, ‘Together Weekend’. We suffer a lot but we are all moving the team forward from the love of theatre. This team has staged several plays before. This time we are bringing the drama ‘Tribeni’ to the audience. Since the play will feature children with special abilities, we have to take a lot of time to prepare.”
“I will go to Rangpur in a few days. After rehearsing for a month, the play will be staged in Dhaka. I want the cooperation of those around me. How difficult it is to run a team only those associated with theatre know. So, I want everyone’s advice and cooperation to move the team forward,” the actress also said.
Meanwhile, the movie ‘Chhayabrikkho’ starring Nawshaba is going to be released on February 16.
However, Nawshaba has completed the movie ‘Joto Kando Kolkatate’ directed by Anik Dutt in Kolkata.
Nawshaba is very optimistic about this movie. She is very excited about the story of this movie and her character.
