Digital skill training program at PSTU

The activation program of the training program titled “Digital Skill Training” under the project Enhancing Digital Government and Economy (EDGE) implemented by the Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) under the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division of the Government has been successfully conducted through the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology (CSIT) of Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU) on Saturday.
Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof Dr. Swadesh Chandra Samanta was present as the chief guest. There was also present as special guests the Executive director (Grade-1) of BCC, ICTD Ranajit Kumar, Treasurer of the University Professor Mohammad Ali, Project Director and Joint Secretary of the Project Md Shakhawat Hossain, Co-Team Leader of the Project Dr. Md. Mahfuzul Islam and other important members of the BCC team and ICT division.
On the next day (March 24), the guests have visited the training sessions in different computer laboratories of the university. Note that on January 18, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed in this regard between the EDGE Project of BCC, under the ICT Division and the Department of CSIT, PSTU. Under the program, around 1500 trainees have successfully received training in various digital skill courses starting from the middle of February in the 1st round.
