The Department of Social Services has issued a check of Tk.13,50,000. On this occasion, a program was organized at the Bhangura Upazila conference room in Pabna on Wednesday. Alhaj Md. Mokbul Hossain, Member of Parliament of the Pabna-3 area and President of the Standing Committee on Land Ministry was the chief guest.
UNO (Acting) Bipasha Hossain presided over the function. Among others Upazila Chairman Md. Baki Billah, Mayor of Bhangura Municipality Golam Hasnain Rasel, Upazila Vice Chairman Golam Hafiz Ranju, Women Vice Chairman Azida Parveen Pakhi, Upazila Social Service Officer Md. Zahidul Islam, Goverment Officials of the various department and the chairmen of the Union Parishad were present there.
Upazila social services officer Md.Jahidul Islam said that the social services department has distributed as total check of Tk.13,50,000 for the better treatment of 27 people of Bhangura upazila suffering from cancer, kidney, liver cirrhosis, paralyzed by stroke, congenital heart disease and thalassemia.
Under this assistance, each person received a one-time financial grant of Tk. 50,000 .
