Ahead of the upcoming National Parliament Election in sight, the election campaign has begun in Kishoreganj -6 (Bhairab— Kuliarchar) constituency is known a battle ground three heavy weight candidates.
MP candidates of political parties have continued their mass outreach, street meetings, yard meetings, posters, placards, banners and handbills in the constituencies 167.
The parliamentary seat is moderately stronghold for BNP as its arch rival Awami League’s (AL’s) activities are remaining banned.
Jamaat -e-Islami has not been able to win any seat from Kishoreganj in any election.
Kishoreganj-6 (Bhairab-Kuliarchar) this constituency , the late President Md. Zillur Rahman was elected as a Member of Parliament (MP) five times . In 2009, when he was elected as the 19th President of the country, his son, former BCB President Nazmul Hasan Papon, was elected as a Member of Parliament for the first time after getting party nomination in the by-election on the vacant seat.
Although, Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Dal (BNP) nominated candidate, BNP organizing secretary, also
district BNP President Md. Shariful Alam is a potential candidate. He participated in the election three times after getting party nomination, but he could not win even once.
There is no party conflict here.He seriously election campaign in this constituency.
Moulana Kabir Hossain, Senior leader of Jamaat -e-Islami, also Ameer of Bhairab , who was campaign as a Jamaat candidate. He has continued its efforts to win over voters at the field level for Parliament election.
Communist Party Bangladesh (CPB) candidate Dr. Habil Bengali preparing in the election.
Al-Hajj Md.Musa khan nominated candidate of Islami Sramik Andolan Bangladesh, National Citizens Party ( NCP) nominated MP candidate as Md. Ariful Islam are contesting in this constituency.
Several potential candidates are preparing for national election.
However, it will be known only after the schedule is announced who will be in the final battleground.
