The Asian University of Bangladesh held the 7th convocation at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre of Agargaon in Dhaka on Thursday.
Professor Aminul Islam, special assistant to the Ministry of Education, attended as chief guest at the convocation, said a press release on Friday.
Fellow of Oxford University and University of Birmingham professor Francis T Davis was present as convocation speaker while editor of Daily Amar Desh Mahmudur Rahman was present as guest of honour and University Grants Commission of Bangladesh member Professor Anwar Hossain attended as special guest at the event.
Another distinguished speaker at the convocation was Professor Yasin Akte from Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, Turkey.
The event was also graced by, among others, Asian University of Bangladesh founder Professor Abul Hasan Muhammad Sadeq, AUB board of trustees chairman Jafar Sadeq, Emeritus Professor Shahjahan Khan and AUB vice-chancellor Professor Md Nurul Islam,
Different departments 7,000 graduates received their certificates at the convocation.
