Entertainment Report :
An arrest warrant has been issued against film actress Moushumi in a cheque fraud case.
The warrant was issued by the Chief Metropolitan Court of Dhaka on July 24 in the case filed by IPDC Finance Ltd.
The company’s lawyer Abu Al Nahid said this yesterday (Sunday).
Abu Al Nahid said, “October 16 has been fixed as the date for submitting the report regarding the arrest. On December 3 last year, the case was filed in the court of Dhaka by the officer of IPDC Finance Ltd MM Mushfiqur Rashid.” According to the complaint of the case, actress Arifa Parveen Zaman Moushumi gave a cheque to IPDC Finance Ltd to pay 1 lakh 6 thousand 211 taka. After depositing at the bank, the cheque was dishonored due to insufficient funds. After the company lawyer sent a notice to pay the money, Moushumi did not pay the money.
Lawyer Abu Al Nahid said, “Moushumi took a loan to buy a car from IPDC Finance Ltd. This case is due to non-payment of installments of that loan.”
The court took cognizance of the case and issued summons to Moushumi to appear. This summons was sent to the house of Gulshan-1 to appear in court. When summon returned from there, a summon was sent to her home in Bashundhara Residential Area on April 28.
However, as she did not appear in the court on the appointed day, the court issued an arrest warrant against her on July 24.
Moushumi is currently out of the country. She has been staying in the United States with her daughter for a long time. Meanwhile, an arrest warrant has been issued against this heroine.
Meanwhile, Moushumi’s husband, film actor Omar Sani told the mass media, “Our business is losing. At present, the installments have not been paid because the financial situation is not good. We wrote to IPDC Finance Ltd and asked them to reduce the installment amount. But they have filed a case without completing the letter.”
Omar Sani also said, “Moushumi will not run away for a few bucks.”
