Popular actor Ziaul Faruq Apurba and actress Runa Khan paired up once again after several years for
a new drama titled ‘Outsider’. Written by Mejbah Uddin Sumon,
the drama is directed by Rubel Hasan, who has previously directed the Eid drama ‘Priyo Poribar’.
The story of the drama revolves around the issues faced by a child
after the separation of his parents.
Muntaha portrays the role of Apurba and Runa’s daughter, while Tanjim Saiyara Totini plays another
pivotal character in the drama.
While talking about acting in the drama, Apurba told this correspondent, “Before this, I acted in the
dramas titled ‘Sondhya’, and ‘Pothe Prante’ with Runa Khan. Runa
is undoubtedly a good actress.
She was also nominated for the National Film Award. I enjoyed working with her again on a true-
to-life story. I hope the audience will like the drama.”
When asked about the experience
of acting in the drama, Runa Khan replied, “This is my first project under the direction of Rubel Hasan. His
experience in direction is quite good. He was trying to direct every
scene with much care.”
The actress also said, “The experience of working with Apurba is always really great because he is so cooperative. Apurba always tries to work accordingly concerning fellow actors. That is why he is such an adored
actor in the industry. I enjoyed
working with him after a long time.”
The shooting of the drama has been completed at a shooting house in the capital’s Uttara area and some other different locations. The drama is set
to be broadcast on Channel i.
