Safa Kabir in a drama based on true story
Popular small-screen actress Safa Kabir has appeared in numerous roles throughout her long career in the media.
However, Safa has always felt comfortable acting in dramas with unique and unconventional stories.
Following this trend, she has now starred in a drama based on a true story.
The drama, inspired by a real-life event she witnessed, is directed by Mahin Khan and is titled “Based on True Story.”
Safa Kabir and Musfiq Farhan play the central characters. The drama is set to air on Masranga Television this Eid-ul-Fitr.
The story follows Sonia, who goes to Australia on a student visa, accompanied by her husband, Palash.
They married for love and shared the dream of starting a new life abroad. Sonia focuses on her studies while Palash works at a restaurant.
Despite his earnings, they face financial struggles, which Sonia finds troubling.
She wishes to contribute financially and, through a friend, lands a part-time job at a clothing showroom.
However, Palash is initially against it, insisting that Sonia should focus solely on her studies. This leads to heated arguments between the couple.
One day, a particular incident brings him face-to-face with Sonia in a way that surprises him greatly.
Speaking about her role, Safa Kabir said, “Musfiq Farhan and I will appear in several dramas airing on different TV channels this Eid.
‘Based on True Story’ is inspired by real events. It portrays the social and financial challenges faced by newly married couples living abroad.
These issues are similar in Australia, Europe, or America for anyone starting a new life abroad.
In addition, trust, doubt, and love are always part of married life. I hope the audience enjoys the drama.”
