Nahid Rana bags 5-wkt
Nahid Rana, new pace sensation of Bangladesh Cricket team bagged five wickets as the touring Pakistan Cricket team were skittled out for 114 off 30.4 overs in the first One Day International (ODI) match.
Bangladesh played against Pakistan in the opening ODI match of the three-match ODI series at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the capital’s Mirpur on Wednesday.
Nahid Rana bowled extremely well and completed his spell as 7-0-24-5. It was for the first time speedster Nahid Rana captured a five-wicket haul.
Nahid Rana, the right-arm fast bowler earned his maiden fifer playing just six ODI matches. Rana made his ODI debut on November 11 in the year of 2024 against Afghanistan at Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. The 23 years old right-arm fast bowler can bowl 140km/hour.

Opener Maaz Sadaqat (18) was caught at the fine leg by Saif Hassan off Nahid Rana.
Second-down Mohammad Rizwan (10) was caught behind by wicketkeeper Litton Das off the right-arm fast bowler.
Third-down Salman Agha (5) was caught at the short-leg by Tanzid Hasan off Nahid Rana and the fast bowler captured his maiden five-wicket haul when Pakistan’s score was 60 for the loss of five wickets.
Right-arm spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz helped Nahid Rana. Fifth-down Abdul Samad (0) was caught behind by wicketkeeper Litton Das off Miraz when Pakistan’s total was 70 for the loss of six wickets.
Miraz hit again as fourth-down Hussain Talat (4) was trapped leg before wicket by right-arm spinner when the visitors’ total was 77 for the loss of seven wickets.
Then, Miraz trapped Shaheen Shah Afridi for four runs and the tourists’ score was 81 for the loss of eight wickets. Miraz captured three wickets at the cost of 29 runs.
Mustafizur Rahman dismissed Faheem Ashraf for 37 and Taskin Ahmed picked up the wicket of Mohammad Wasim and Pakistan’s innings was dismissed.
