BD women to present plucky football against N Korea today

After playing a match of AFC Women’s Asian Cup, the Bangladesh Women’s Football team have become changed and also have become confident.
Bangladesh women lost to China by 0-2 goals in their first Group-B match at Sydney Western Stadium in Sydney of Australia on March 3.
Bangladesh presented a better brand of football against China but they lost to the champions China.
Bangladesh women will face off North Korea women in their second Group-B match of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup today at the same venue.
The match will kick-off at 8:00am (Bangladesh Standard Time). Private satellite sports channel T Sports will telecast the match live.
Head Coach of Bangladesh Women’s Football team Peter Butler said, ” My girls will play plucky football against the favourites (North Korea).
According to the latest FIFA rankings, Bangladesh Women’s Football team have taken 112th position, while North Korea Women’s Football team have taken ninth position.
North Korea women clinched the title of AFC Women’s Asian Cup for three times.
They started their Group-B campaign of AFC Women’s Asian Cup with a happy note defeating Uzbekistan women by three goals to nil on March 3.
Peter Butler said, ” We are going to face North Korea women, which are stronger opponents.
If anybody sees their FIFA rankings, they will find out that they are the favourites of this tournament.
My girls have to keep their own rhythm against North Korea. It will be a challenge for my girls to win against favourites North Korea. I hope my girls will give their best and maintain their improvement.”
He said, ” I measure all the matches equally. I don’t think my girls will qualify for the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
I think my girls will improve their football match by match. I want my players will present their best football in the field and show their confidence.”
He also said, ” I can compare our goalkeeper Mile Akter with the hair style of legendary singer Elvis Presley.
Mile has a latest and best hair style. She waited to perform in a match for long time. Before China match, she had to wait for a long time.”
Meanwhile, Head Coach of North Korea Women’s Football team Ri Song Ho highly praised the performance of Bangladesh Women’s Football team.
He highly praised the performance of Ritu Porna Chakma and said his girls will be conscious and alert of the performance of Ritu Porna.
