Jaya reveals what she enjoys as she gets older
Entertainment Report :
Popular actress Jaya Ahsan’s film ‘OCD’, directed by Soukarya Ghoshal, released in West Bengal on February 6.
To promote the film, the Bangladeshi actress gave a video interview to Indian media outlet, The Wall. In this interview, various topics besides cinema were raised.
How optimistic are you about the two Bengali films? In response to the question, Jaya said, “I’m optimistic about both (the two Bengali films). Here, films like ‘OCD’ are being released and the audience has seen them.
Before that, I did ‘Dear Maa’, ‘Putulnacher Itikotha’; each work is of a different dimension (of a different kind).
As an artiste, it is a matter of great luck for me to get these works. Now ‘OCD’ has come, there is a place for the performance to take place. I will not say how much I have succeeded.
The three films are of three types – one is completely family, one is completely classic and what is happening now has a very strong social message within it.”
Highlighting the success of her Bangladeshi films in the past year, Jaya further said, “Bangladesh is going through various situations.
But my two films ‘Utshob’ and ‘Taandob’ are blockbuster superhits. After that, there will be some very good and wonderful films ahead. You have seen the trailer of a film titled ‘Roid’, it will be an extraordinary film.”
Movies from West Bengal starring Jaya are not released in Bangladesh; similarly movies from Dhaka are not released in Kolkata. Jaya hopes that this will be fixed in the near future.
In the same interview, Jaya said about social media, “Social media is not really my personal space; it is a place to see my image. It’s a completely formal space. Even then, I sometimes share personal things.”
In the final part of the interview, ‘Rapid Fire’, Jaya answered 10 questions. When asked what she enjoys most as she gets older, Jaya replied, “I’m becoming more like my father.”
She also said that she is becoming more adventurous as she gets older. There is nothing she says ‘No’ to.
