Housewife’s hanging body recovered in Lalmohan

Police have recovered the hanging body of a housewife in Rahimpur area of Ward No. 1 of Charbhuta Union in Lalmohan Upazila of Bhola. The deceased woman’s name is Mukta Begum.

She is the wife of Jewel, son of Abul Hossain of that area.

On Monday (February 2) morning, family members found Mukta’s body with a rope around her neck on the bathroom wall behind the house. Later, on receiving information, Lalmohan Police Station police reached the spot and recovered the body. The deceased’s mother Ranu Begum complained, “I don’t know how my daughter died. However, it is not suicide, my daughter was killed because of their torture.

The people of the in-laws’ house including mother-in-law and brother-in-law had been misbehaving with my daughter for a long time. I want a fair trial for this.

On the other hand, the deceased’s husband Jewel claimed that after Fajr prayers, Mukta left my side. Everything was normal then. After a while, I woke up and saw that she was not at home.
