NRBC Bank’s deposit accounts cross 2 million milestone

NRBC Bank PLC has crossed a significant milestone by surpassing 2 million deposit accounts. Over the last one year, the number of accounts increased by more than Four Lakhs.

Alongside the growing trust and confidence of customers in the bank, the volume of deposits has also increased substantially. NRBC Bank formally celebrated this milestone through a hybrid event.

The Managing Director and CEO of the bank, Dr. Md. Touhidul Alam Khan, attended the program as the chief guest.

Deputy Managing Director Mohammad Abdul Qaium Khan, senior executives, and branch and sub-branch managers joined the event both physically and via an online platform.

It was shared at the event that as of the end of December last year, the total number of deposit accounts stood at 20,36,274. At the end of December 2024, the number of savings accounts was 16,33,141, reflecting a 24 percent increase within one year.

A total of 4,03,133 new accounts were opened during this period. Deposit accounts under Shariah-based Al-Amin Islamic Banking grew by 36 percent.

Moreover, by the end of December 2025, the bank’s total deposits increased by 16 percent to BDT 20,905 crore, compared to BDT 18,041 crore at the end of December 2024.

Speaking at the event, Managing Director and CEO Dr. Md. Touhidul Alam Khan said that NRBC Bank has earned the trust of customers by meeting the financial needs of people from all walks of life across the country.

Customers are choosing NRBC Bank for the safe keeping of their hard-earned money. He emphasized that fast, simple, and service-oriented banking is the core foundation of this trust.

He also expressed his sincere gratitude to the customers, regulators, sponsors, shareholders, and the bank’s officers and employees for achieving this milestone.

Currently, NRBC Bank is providing services across the country through 109 branches and 415 sub-branches. In addition to conventional banking, the bank is also offering Shariah-based Islamic banking services through all of its branches and sub-branches.
