Mojibur Rahman Manju’s nomination valid in Feni-2

The nomination of Mojibur Rahman Manju, Chairman of the AB Party and the candidate backed by the 11-party alliance in the Feni-2 constituency, has been declared valid. On Sunday morning (January 4), following scrutiny during the scheduled verification period, District Commissioner and Returning Officer Monira Khan announced Manju as a valid candidate.
Earlier, on December 29, Manju submitted his nomination papers. In this constituency, Jamaat leader Professor Liyakat Ali Bhuiyan withdrew from the race in support of Manju.
Mojibur Rahman Manju is one of the founding members of the new-generation political party Amar Bangladesh (AB) Party. His ancestral home is in North Sharsadi village of Sharsadi Union under Feni Sadar Upazila. Manju’s father was a Bir Muktijoddha (Freedom Fighter).
Having lost his father in childhood, Manju was raised under the care of his hardworking and resilient mother. All six siblings are socially and professionally well-established.
Manju earned a Master’s degree in Political Science from Chittagong University. He began his professional career as a university teacher and later joined Diganta Television, where he served as an Executive Director.
Politically aware from an early age and coming from a politically and culturally progressive family, Manju also served with distinction as the central president of a student organization.
In his personal life, Mojibur Rahman Manju is a father of three children. He is a member of the Dhaka Journalists Union and a councillor of the Bangladesh Federal Journalists Union.
