Popular actress Madhumita Sarkar is set to begin a new chapter of her life in the new year. She has officially revealed her wedding date and will tie the knot on January 23.

Madhumita has been in a relationship with her partner, Debmalya Chakravorty, for the past three years. The wedding ceremony will take place at a relative’s house in Baruipur.

Expressing her excitement about the wedding, the actress said that she has worn her mother’s saree many times before.

Therefore, on her mother’s instruction, she will wear a new saree on her wedding day.

She will be dressed in a red Banarasi Saree, adorned with gold jewelry. The wedding will be conducted entirely according to traditional Bengali rituals.

There may not be any separate events like a haldi or sangeet ceremony. However, for the reception, she may opt for a different look, possibly wearing a lehenga or a floor-length gown.

She further added that the wedding cards have already been printed, and the menu is almost finalized. Since she personally loves Bengali cuisine, prawns and mutton will definitely be included.
