MCT’s prayer for Khaleda Zia

A special prayer meeting was held Friday at Mirpur Central Temple (MCT)to pray for the departed soul of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, as part of the national day of mourning.
The event saw participation from prominent figures, including ABM Abdus Sattar, former secretary and general secretary of Officers’ Club, BNP Steering Committee member, and Khaleda Zia’s former personal secretary, says a press release.
Also present were Bijon Kanti Sarkar, chairman of Hindu-Buddhist-Christian Welfare Front and adviser to the BNP chairperson; Tapan Chandra Majumdar, vice chairman of Hindu Religious Welfare Trust.
temple president Parimal Kumar Kuri; general secretary Dola Majumdar; Dulal Kar; Bibha Majumdar; freedom fighter and engineer Sukumar Sharma; senior journalist Shib Shankar Modak; along with executive committee members and devotees.
Parimal Chakraborty, joint president, delivered the welcome address, while freedom fighter and temple advisor Ranjit Kumar Pal conducted the proceedings.
