MTB officials attend trade compliance conference 2025

Mutual Trust Bank PLC (MTB) organized its Annual Trade-Based Compliance Conference 2025 recently to raise awareness on key measures for preventing trade-based money laundering.

The day-long conference was held for MTB officials involved in trade services from branches and the corporate head office. More than 100 participants attended the programme in person, while around 300 joined virtually.

The event was graced by Syed Mahbubur Rahman, Managing Director and CEO of MTB, as the chief guest. Shah Md Ahsan Habib, Professor (Selection Grade) at the Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management (BIBM), addressed the conference as the guest lecturer.

Chowdhury Akhtar Asif, Additional Managing Director and Group Chief Risk Officer, and Usman Rashed Muyeen, Deputy Managing Director and Head of the Credit Risk Management Division, were also present.

The conference was hosted and moderated by Rais Uddin Ahmad, Deputy Managing Director and Chief Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officer of MTB.
