My skin was burnt to ashes: Nazifa Tushi
Entertainment Report :
She is returning with a new movie titled ‘Roid’ after three years in the movie ‘Hawa’ directed by Mejbaur Rahman Suman. Actress Nazifa Tushi plays one of the characters in it.
However, portraying this character was not easy for Tushi. In a recent interview, Tushi said how hard she had to work to make herself believable on screen.
The actress said that she did not resort to any artificial makeup to make her skin tanned for the character. Instead, she developed herself naturally.
In this regard, Tushi said, “I used to apply mustard oil on my body and go out in the sun.
If I apply mustard oil and go out in the sun, my skin burns very quickly. As a result, my skin became completely charred.”
Explaining why she didn’t wear makeup, the actress said, “If you wear makeup, you’re afraid it might come off if you run, rain, or sweat.
There was a possibility that my real skin would show through. So, I didn’t want to take the risk.”
In her words, “This is the first time I have worked on a character that had no name.
It was not easy to adapt myself to the psychology of the character. Although it looks easy, it was actually very challenging.”
According to Nazifa Tushi, “We lived like locals there. Even for the shooting clothes, we bought used clothes from common people from the roadside ‘Tuker Bazar’ because my main goal was to bring credibility to the character.”
