Celebs’ news: Why showbiz stars suddenly writing numbers on their hands & cheeks?

Entertainment Report :

For those who regularly follow various stars in the entertainment industry, this may come as a surprise! Some stars have different numbers on their cheeks and some on their hands.

Many may not understand this as it is a sudden occurrence. But knowing its secret may upset many fans.

This trend was especially seen among female artistes – such as actresses, singers or models.

Many may understand what the matter is! Because, along with publishing the numbers, they are writing the slogan ‘My Number, My Rules’.

Basically, this is a new protest movement of stars against digital violence and cyber bullying.

A group of female stars of the country have participated in it on social media.
It is known that the number that the stars are publishing in their photos indicates how many times they are victims of online harassment or cyberbullying on average every day.

Actress Nusrat Imroz Tisha started this movement on November 25. Writing the number ‘9’ with her picture, she said that she faces at least 9 harassments every day.

Tisha wrote in her Facebook post, “Numbers to voices, let’s share our stories. Tell the story of your number, raise your voice louder. People may only see a number, but I can see everything I’ve endured and overcome.”

Finally, she called on everyone to stand up against digital violence using the hashtag ‘My Number, My Rules’.

Responding to Tisha’s call, many other stars from the film, drama, and music worlds have joined the protest movement.

They are revealing the number of daily harassments they face, sending a message about the level of violence and harassment women face online.

For example, actress Prarthana Fardin Dighi’s number is 3, actress Runa Khan’s number is 24, actress Moushumi Hamid’s number is 72, actress Ashna Habib Bhabna’s number is 99+, and actress Sabnam Faria’s number is the highest, 1000, which means, she is harassed thousands of times every day.

Also, singer Sajia Sultana Putul’s number is 9, model and actress Maria Nur has written 7. Meanwhile, in protest, actress Mousumi Hamid has highlighted the pain of being harassed in her post. She wrote, “They said, ‘It’s just a comment.

Ignore it.’ I ignored it not once, not twice, not thrice, but many times. But it didn’t stop. This number has increased.

This is my story. And it starts with a number now.” It is worth noting that for a long time, female actors have been subjected to various forms of harassment on social media, but have not received any remedy for it.

As this violence is increasing day by day, the stars have now broken their silence and chosen these ‘numbers’ as their language of protest.

The main goal of this movement is to stop violence against women and cyberbullying through digital media and create awareness against it.
