Nat’l Disaster Preparedness Day celebrated

National Disaster Preparedness Day was celebrated in Chatmohar, Pabna, under the theme “We will fight in disaster preparedness, build a Bangladesh of youth.”

On this occasion, the Upazila Administration and Disaster Management Department organised a rally, fire and earthquake drill, and discussion meeting. A rally was taken out and circled the Upazila Parishad premises. After the rally, Chatmohar Fire Service and Civil Defence personnel demonstrated fire and earthquake drills.

Finally, a discussion meeting was held under the chairmanship of Upazila Executive Officer Musa Naser Chowdhury. Present at the discussion meeting were Upazila Project Implementation Officer Md. Omar Khayyam, Social Service Officer Md. Sohel Rana, Women’s Affairs Officer Mahmuda Sultana, Food Controller Alaol Kabir, Youth Development Officer A. Mabud, Statistics Officer Md. Mehedi Hasan, Deputy Assistant Engineer Amirul Islam, UP Member Farhad Hossain Manik, and others.
