As the Eid holidays come to an end, many working people have started returning to Dhaka, while those who could not travel earlier due to preoccupations are now heading to their hometowns.
The rush continued at the capital’s Kamalapur Railway Station on Thursday, the fourth day of Eid.
On the other hand, the capital city did not get it usual scenario like huge traffic congestion as it is also in the mode of enjoying Eid vacation.
Transport related officials said that the full pressure of return passengers will be evident on Saturday as almost all kind of offices including government ones are set to open on Sunday.
A visit to Kamalapur railway station in the morning revealed a larger number of passengers leaving Dhaka than arriving.
Platforms were crowded with people waiting for their scheduled trains.
