DSCC provides 4 water rescue boats to fire service

Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) provided 4 water rescue boats to Fire Service and Civil Defence. Project Director on behalf of DSCC’s Urban Resilience Project (URP) at the “Handover Ceremony of Four Search and Rescue Equipment (Rescue Boats)” held at Golden Fiber Glass (Boat Yard), Bandar, Narayanganj on 22 October 2024 at 03-00 PM. Mr. Arifur Rahman Director General of Fire Service and Civil Defense on behalf of Mr. Director (Operation and Maintenance) Lieut. Colonel Mohammad Tajul Islam Chowdhury handed over these equipment to SGP, PSC.

Assistant Director (Operation) of Fire Service and Civil Defense Mr. Farid Ahmed Chowdhury, Zone Commander of Fire Service Mr. Fakhar Uddin Ahmed, Assistant Maintenance Engineer (Acting) of Central Technical Factory Mr. Mohammad Motahar Hossain and others were present in the event, reports press release.

Director of the Directorate (Operation and Maintenance) of DSCC Lt. Colonel Mohammad Tajul Islam Chowdhury said, Dhaka South City Corporation is providing various types of fire fighting and rescue equipment to fire service and civil defense under the URP project. In continuation of this, 4 water rescue boats were provided today.

On behalf of the fire service, he expressed his sincere thanks to the project director of Dhaka South City Corporation and all concerned for this.
