Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has called for the revival of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) to enhance economic and regional cooperation among South Asian nations.

“In a bid to boost economic cooperation in the South Asian region, SAARC could serve as a model for relationships akin to the European Union.

We must work together for mutual benefits,” Professor Yunus remarked during a courtesy call from Pakistan’s High Commissioner in Dhaka, Syed Ahmed Maroof, at the State Guest House Jamuna on Tuesday.
