The administration at Dhaka Medical College Hospital has banned all forms of student politics.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the college’s academic council on Saturday, reports bdnews24.com
An order signed by Dr Md Shafiqul Alam Chowdhury said: “It has been decided that all forms of student politics (Chhatra League, Chhatra Dal, Chhatra Shibir and any newly formed student organisations) are permanently banned from the Dhaka Medical College campus, the Shaheed Dr Fazle Rabbee Residential Hall, and the Dr Alim Chowdhury Residential Hall.”

The order states that any student found to be involved in promoting or campaigning openly or secretly in the campus or the dormitories, bringing in student politics, their practice, or holding political programmes, or calls on others to do so, or supports or takes part in promotion and campaign activities, then immediate disciplinary action will be taken against them.

A prayer was said for the souls of those who died during the Anti-discrimination Student Movement. All the injured students would receive the proper treatment, they added.
