The government has deployed Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members in four districts, including Dhaka, amid the deteriorating situation over the quota reform movement.
BGB troopers were deployed in Dhaka, Chattogram, Rajshahi, Rangpur and Bogura districts, said BGB Public Relations Officer Shariful Islam.
However, BGB has not yet said how many platoons have been deployed.
Meanwhile, the students’ demand for reforming the quota system has intensified across the country.
Universities, including Dhaka, Chattogram, and Begum Rokeya, have turned into battlegrounds.
