Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-7) have arrested 39 brokers in various wards of Chittagong Medical College (CMC H) Hospital.A RAB team raided the hospital on Wednesday morning. They were detained from various wards including ward number 32.
RAB-7 CO Lt. Col. Mahbub Alam said that the RAB team in white clothes raided different wards of the hospital.
At that time, 39 suspects were arrested.Among them, 14 persons were sentenced to 1 month imprisonment without payment of Tk 10,000 fine and 25 persons were sentenced to Tk 5,000 fine and 1 month imprisonment.
Besides, one was acquitted as he was found innocent in the mobile court.
He also said that Bed and Ward Syndicate, Medicine Syndicate, Ambulance Syndicate are active in the hospital.
They lure the patients with various ways. They lure patients mainly because of commission trade. RAB talkad to the hospital authorities about the operation.
