President of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Nazmul Hassan Papon will take the decision of Tamim Iqbal fate. Chairman of the Cricket Operations Committee of the BCB Jalal Yunus and Director of the BCB Md. Enayet Husain Siraj met with Tamim Iqbal on Sunday last.
Jalal Yunus said, ” We discussed Tamim. We shall spoke to BCB boss Nazmul Hassan.
We shall acknowledge the plan of Tamim Iqbal. Then, the BCB supremo will take the decision of Tamim fate.”
Bangladesh Cricket team will play three One Day International (ODI) matches against Sri Lanka soon. The Tigers will play more three ODI matches in this year. Tamim Iqbal is likely unavailable for those ODI matches. Besides, he has not been playing for Test cricket for a long time.
Meanwhile, there was a hot issue between dashing opener Tamim Iqbal and ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan. Both of them were quitely discussed out of the field. Shakib Al Hasan expressed his decision before the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. Shakib said, ” Tamim is not interested to play without opening position. Tamim has childish mentality.”
After that Tamim did not comment about Shakib’s remark.
However, Tamim Iqbal told to a local television channel. He said, ” I need that some changes to return to the international cricket. Everybody has personality and has different thinking. I am not interested to talk about my colleague in media.”
He said, ” It will be a tough task for me to return to international cricket if Chandika Hathurisingha will act as the head coach of Bangladesh Cricket team.”
After the Ispahani Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Cricket, which concluded on March 1, Tamim Iqbal said that he would take decision after discuss the two BCB Directors.
