Musician Ankhi Alamgir, who won the National Film Award for acting and singing playback song, won praise for acting as a child artiste,
as well as also won the hearts of
the audience by rendering songs.
During childhood, Ankhi was awarded the first National Film Award by acting as a child artiste in the movie ‘Bhat De’ directed by Amjad Hossain. After getting matured, she was awarded the National Film Award as a singer by singing song in the movie ‘Ekti Cinemar Golpo’, directed by Ankhi’s father noted film actor and producer Alamgir.
Ankhi Alamgir was not seen in acting after childhood. Her indomitable journey in the world of music began with her love for music. She became the favourite artiste of Bangladesh.
In Bangladesh, this popular musician has worked as a model in some TV commercials. Of which the most notable are – AM. PM Tooth Paste, Tibet Pumpkin Hair Oil, Suresh Mustard Oil, and others.
She last worked as a model in an OVC with Alamgir and Runa Laila.
On 23 February, Ankhi Alamgir worked as a model for another advertisement in Cox’s Bazar.
Directed by Anonno Mamun, Ankhi performed as a model in an elite residential hotel named ‘Ramada International Hotel and Resort’.
The commentary of the entire unit is that, “Ankhi Alamgir’s presence in this advertisement will spread fascination among the audience.”
While talking about her new advertisement, Ankhi Alamgir told this correspondent, “Before this, I have worked in an advertisement under the direction of Anonno Mamun. This is my second work under his direction. Mamun’s direction is very sharp and very similar to what I imagine in my mind. The atmosphere of the hotel is in one word great. I like it very much. I believe that everyone will be able to feel it when the advertisement comes out.”
Ankhi Alamgir informed that she came to Dhaka yesterday after the advertisement work.
Meanwhile, Ankhi impressed the audience by singing songs in several stage shows this month. She will perform music in three different shows on February 27, 28 and 29 in Dhaka.
Among the latest mentionable songs of Ankhi Alamgir are – ‘Tip Tip Brishti’, ‘Piya Giyechhe Dubai’, ‘Rajkumari’, ‘Kothai Rekhechho Amay’, and ‘Laila’.
