Miscreants have vandalised and torched a teachers’ bus at Jagannath University during a shutdown imposed by the BNP-led alliance. The incident took place at Shanta Square on the campus around 11:30am on Wednesday, Kotwali Police Station OC Abul Hasan said. The seats and the inner portions of the bus were burnt, he said. Witnesses said three to four youths came to the Square and fled after vandalising and torching the vehicle. Officials of the university doused the fire. The OC said police were trying to identify those involved with the help of the university administration. – bdnews24.com
