2 held with cannabis in Mymensingh

A team of RAB-14 arrested two drug traffickers along with 11 kilograms of illegal cannabis during an operation in Mymensingh.
According to RAB sources, acting on a tip-off, a RAB team set up a checkpoint around 2:00 am on January 3 in front of the Engineering College near the Rahmatpur Bypass in Mymensingh city. During the operation, a Noah microbus was stopped and searched.
At that time, 11 kilograms of cannabis were recovered, which had been cleverly concealed inside the vehicle.
Two individuals traveling in the vehicle were arrested: Abdul Malek (42) from Chunarughat area of Habiganj district, and Mohan Mridha (32) from Tungipara of Gopalganj district.
RAB stated that the estimated market value of the recovered cannabis is approximately BDT 220,000.
The arrested drug traffickers, along with the seized evidence, have been handed over to Mymensingh Kotwali Police Station for further legal proceedings.
