Muhammad Zuhedur Rahman, a resident of South Surma under Sylhet district has achieved a rare achievement in Britain’s National Health Service, receiving the British Citizen Award.
During his tenure as Governor of Stockport NHS Foundation Trust (2021-2024), he completed the modernization of the Accident and Emergency Department and the provision of new medical equipment with the cooperation of all the governors, as a result of which patients are now receiving services easily. His work will be forever remembered in Britain’s National Health Service. Thousands of patients will benefit from this.
He works as a volunteer fundraiser for Macmillan Cancer Support, and the money raised is being used to serve cancer patients. Thousands of cancer patients are benefiting from his humanitarian work.
Zuhed Hyde is the co-general secretary of Bangladesh Welfare Association and a member of Ansar Cancer Support Organization, working tirelessly in the service of the community. As a result, many in the community are finding success in this.
Zuhed, who is closely involved in British politics, participated in the local elections in 2023 as a candidate for the Labour and Co-operative Party.
He has also received the British Citizen Award Certificate of Recognition for his volunteer work.
He is the son of Hafiz Mohammad Talibur Rahman and Shaheda Begum of Jafrabad village, Lalabazar Union No. 6, South Surma Upazila, Sylhet district.
Talking about this, Mohammad Juhedur Rahman said that he is working in the service of the Bangladeshi and local community, will continue to do so in the future and will be by their side in happiness and sorrow.
