Chief Advisor to the Interim Government Prof Muhammad Yunus has sent a message of congratulations to Sushila Karki on her appointment as the Prime Minister of Nepal.
In the message on Saturday, Prof Yunus highlighted that Nepal’s new leadership comes at a critical and challenging time and expressed confidence that under Prime Minister Karki’s guidance, Nepal and its people will continue to advance on the path of peace, development, and stability.
“As a longstanding friend and neighbour of Nepal, we are confident that under your able leadership and guidance, Nepal and its resilient people will continue to progress on the path of peace, development and stability,” the message said.
It also emphasised the longstanding friendship and cooperation between Bangladesh and Nepal, expressing a commitment to working closely for strengthening bilateral ties based on mutual respect.
Additionally, Bangladesh extended heartfelt condolences over the recent tragic loss of lives during political developments in Nepal, offering sympathies to the bereaved families and wishing a swift recovery to those injured.
Professor Yunus concluded the message by wishing Prime Minister Karki good health and success, along with continued peace and prosperity for the people of Nepal.
