Chief Adviser Professor Dr. Mohammad Yunus on Thursday stated that the country’s young generation is bolder than in previous eras.
This generation aspires not only to build a new Bangladesh but also to lead the world. He made this remark while conferring the Ekushey Padak 2025 to the awardees.
“The aspirations of our young generation are bolder than those of any previous era.
We are now stronger, more energetic, and more creative than ever before,” he said at the award ceremony held at Osmani Memorial Auditorium in Dhaka.
Professor Yunus emphasized that today’s youth, with unwavering confidence, aim to create both a transformed Bangladesh and a new world.
“They are prepared to take the lead in shaping the future. Both boys and girls are ready,” he said.
He highlighted that the new generation envisions a “civilization of their dreams,” breaking away from a self-destructive past.
Their primary goal, he noted, is to ensure equal access to global resources, provide opportunities for all to dream and achieve, and foster human progress without disrupting the balance of the world and its living beings.
On the occasion of Shaheed Dibosh and International Mother Language Day, the Chief Adviser expressed his hope for the swift realization of the dreams nurtured by the youth.
Congratulating the Ekushey Padak recipients, he acknowledged their invaluable contributions, stating that the nation holds them in high esteem as guiding figures.
“Your contributions serve as an inspiration, strengthening our nation’s presence in global forums, including the United Nations,” he added.
Recalling the sacrifices made by the martyrs of the 1952 Language Movement, the 1971 Liberation War, and the July 2024 Uprising, along with those injured in these struggles, Prof. Yunus remarked, “The uprising of students, workers, and ordinary citizens on August 5 last year has given us a new Bangladesh.”
He asserted that this victory has created an opportunity for all to contribute toward building a transformed nation.
