Youth lynched in Wazirpur

A youth was killed in mass beating while stealing in Wazirpur of Barishal. Deceased Sumon Halder (30) was the son of Nagen Halder of Baherghat area of Jalla Union of Wazirpur Upazila.
On Saturday (August 17), the matter was confirmed by the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Wazirpur Police Station Zafar Ahmed. Earlier on Saturday around 3:00 AM the incident of mass beating took place.
OC said about the locals Zafar Ahmed said, 2/3 people including Sumon Hawladar and associates went to steal the car garage of Sultan Mahuri around 2.30 am. When they tried to break the fence of the garage and enter inside, the guard shouted.
Then local people who were keeping a night patrol in that area, came forward on the shouts of the garage guard and detaining two beat them up.
