A youth was killed in a terror attack on ABC Ghona road in the town early Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Mostafa Kamal, 25, son of Nurul Islam, of Dakkhin Rumaliarchhara ABC Ghona area in the town.
The victim’s younger brother Jasim Uddin said, “My brother is an easy-bike driver. As usual he was returning home after leaving the vehicle in the garage when at 1am on Saturday some criminals attacked him on the way. He was rushed to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital with serious injuries first but later he died on the way to Chittagong Medical College Hospital at Eidgaon area.” He further said, “Before dying, my brother named two attackers- Jamal, of Sahittika Polly and Babul, of ABC Ghona areas.”
Doctor Wahiduzzaman Murad of emergency department at Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital said, three stab marks of sharp weapons were found on the body.
Sub-Inspector (SI) of Sadar Model Police Station Abdur Rahim said, they are trying to nab the criminals.
