A youth was killed when a pickup van crushed him in front of Asharf Ali Market in the city’s Sadarghat Thana today.
The victim was identified as Monir Hossain, 24, son of Kawsar Ahmed, of Bhola Sadar thana of Bhola district.
Police said the accident occurred when a gas cylinder-laden pickup van crushed Monir under its wheels in front of the market. Police recovered the body and sent it to Chittagong Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy. A case was filed with Sadarghat thana in this connection.
