Youth gang members rounded up

Unit-8 of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-8) detained twenty members of four separate teenage-gang groups in Jhalokathi. The media cell of RAB-8 Barishal confirmed the matter on Saturday (June 01).
Shahidul Islam, officer in charge of Jhalokathi Sadar police station, said after receiving from the RAB, the guardians of the detained were called and taking bonds handed over the detained to the guardians.
They have been committing various crimes including beating, robbing, eve teasing, gang culture, abusing elders in obscene language. In view of this, members of Barishal RAB-8 conducted operations against juvenile gangs in different areas under Sadar police station of Jhalokathi district from Friday afternoon to early Saturday.
In the operation, the leader of teenage- gang including leader Shihab (17), members Azizul Howlader (19), Robin Howlader (17), Ruman (17) and Hridoy (17) were arrested.
The law enforcers also arrested another leader and activists of Kishore gang including gang leader Sabbir Khan (18), members Golam Morshed (18), Maruf (17), Rafi Howladar (16), Swadhin Howladerdar (19).
Besides, the leader and activists of Kishore gang Rafim group from Technical School and College junction, Rupnagar area arrested group leader Rafim Islam Jisan (17), members Shanto Majhi (17), Nazmul Khan (17), Jihad Howladar (17), Siddiqur Rahman Shawon (16).
In addition, from the front of the government women’s college, the leader of the Kishore gang Sajib Howladar (17), members Roni Howladar (17), Zubair Khalifa (17), Ramzan Hossain (17) and Mim Khalifa (17) were arrested.
According to RAB, the detainees have been handed over to Sadar police station in Jhalokathi to take legal action against them.
