Contemporary popular and young litterateur Shammi Tultul honored with Literary Award and a memento at a literary award ceremony and writers’ convention on Friday in the capital. The daylong event was held on the occasion of the 18th anniversary of Protiva Prokash publishing house, at the Shafiqul Kabir Auditorium of the Dhaka Reporters Unity. The convention featured seminars, recitations of rhymes and poetry, with writers from across the country in attendance.
Shammi Tultul, the daughter of Chattogram expressed her utmost happiness getting the award. The writer said the organisers encouraged the writers to create more literatures to enhance the sector with their wonderful creations.
Shammi said she is committed to serve the literary arena lifelong.
Various distinguished guests were present at different segments of the event, including President of the National Press Club poet Hasan Hafiz, fiction writer Rafiqul Rashid, poet Rezauddin Stalin, Chairperson of the Jessore Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Dr. Asma Begum, writer and researcher Dr. Yahya Mannan, Chief Editor of Bangla Vision Dr. Abdul Hai Siddique, children’s author Amirul Islam, children’s author Rahim Shah, publisher of Ananya Monirul Haque, children’s author Ahmed Jasim, fiction writer Mahfuzur Rahman, writer and journalist Selim Auwal, poet and fiction writer Mahbuba Chowdhury, poet and researcher Dr. Shahnaz Parveen, CEO of NRB Islamic Life Insurance Ltd.
