Music: Yasmin Mushtari launches digital archive on her birthday

Noted Nazrul artiste Yasmin Mushtari’s birthday was on September 8. On this special day, she has started a special initiative – ‘Digital Archive of Yasmin Mushtari’.

Her website has been launched, adding almost all the information about the artiste’s long and colourful musical career, works and achievements.

Visiting the website will provide with artiste’s biographies, songs, audio-videos, awards, album information, news, interviews, social media links, and various archival materials.

Yasmin Mushtari said that she is so busy with music practice, performances, training, and recording new songs.

Amidst all this busyness, she gets very little time to think about herself. Yet, for a long time, she had been thinking about preserving her work and achievements.

Yasmin Mushtari said, “Even after saving hard copies of most of my work and achievements, many things have been lost.

Besides, I noticed another important thing, these days there is a lot of wrong information on the internet, starting from the spelling of names, which can be a cause of confusion. People get confused due to wrong information.

But when all the information and data are presented correctly on your own web platform, then there is no opportunity to spread wrong information.”
