Wuhu mayor visits Chattogram

Xu Zhi, Mayor of Wuhu City, Anhui Province, China, visited the Chattagram City Corporation (CCC) Office at Tiger Pass on Tuesday.
During the inspection, the Mayor of Wuhu City was accompanied by Zhou Hao, Director of the Administrative Committee of Wuhu Economic and Technological Development Zone, Liu Xingrong, Director of Wuhu Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, Cao Jie, Director of the Science and Technology Bureau, Zhou Wei, Director of the Industry and Information Technology Bureau, Dong Liang, Deputy Director of the Development and Reform Commission, Xu Hui, Vice President of Cherry Holding Group Company Limited, and Zhang Zhao, Chairman of Wuhu Shipyard Company Limited.

On behalf of City Corporation, CCC Acting CEO and Secretary Md. Ashraful Amin, Chief Cleaning Officer Captain Ikhtiar Uddin Ahmed Chowdhury were present at the meeting. Mayor Xu Zhi said at the meeting, “We see Chattagram as a strategic economic center of Bangladesh. Especially in the shipbuilding industry, seaport expansion, manufacturing industries and setting up environmentally friendly automobile factories, there is immense potential here.
Companies from Wuhu City are expressing deep interest in investing in these sectors and technical cooperation in Chattagram.” Acting CEO and Secretary of CCC, Md. Ashraful Amin said, Chattagram City Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain has taken various steps to improve the communication system for the development of the city’s industrial sector.
In addition, the port authority has also taken initiatives to increase the port’s capacity to increase the speed of import and export. If large companies of Uhu City invest in Chattagram, both countries will benefit.
