The ‘World Veterinary Day-2025’ was celebrated at Chattagram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) on Saturday (26 April) through various programs.
This year’s theme of the day is ‘Animal Health Takes a Team’. On this occasion, the programs jointly organized by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the university, One Health Institute and Veterinary Faculty Students’ Association included a colorful procession, e-poster presentation, discussion meeting and prize distribution.
A colorful procession was taken out on the university campus at 9:30 am. Teachers, officers, students and employees participated in the procession led by CVASU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Lutfur Rahman. After the procession, an e-poster presentation, discussion meeting and prize distribution ceremony were held at the CVASU auditorium. Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Lutfur Rahman was present as the chief guest. Director (External Activities) Professor Dr. AKM Saifuddin, Director (One Health Institute) Professor Dr. Md. Ahsanul Haque and Chittagong District Livestock Officer Dr. Md. Alamgir were present as special guests.
Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Professor Gautam Kumar Debnath presided over the program, and Head of the Department of Medicine and Surgery Professor Dr. Pankaj Chakraborty presented the main message. Director (Student Welfare) Professor Dr. Mohammad Rashedul Alam delivered the welcome speech.
