World Tourism Day observed in Kishoreganj

‘World Tourism Day’ was observed in the country on Friday, as elsewhere in the world, with a call for greater cooperation between the public and private sectors to seize the vast potential of Bangladesh’s tourism industry.
The day with the global theme “Tourism and Peace “.
District Administration in Kishoreganj including tourism related government and private bodies arranged a colour full rally, discussion , drawing competition among the childrens, festivals and events marking the day.
A discussion meeting held at local collectorate conference room on Friday, while Deputy Commissioner ( in Kishoreganj, Fouzia Khan in the chair.
Police Super(SP) Md.Hasan Chowdhury BPM(Sheba), Deputy Director, also Deputy Secretary (DS) in local Government (LG) Muktadirul Ahamed and Civil Surgeon (CS) dr.Saiful Islam were attended as special guests.
It was addressed among others by, ADC(General) Rubel Mahmud, Sadar UNO Abu Rasel and CAB district president, Journalist Alam Sarowar Tito.
DC Fouzia Khan highlighting Bangladesh’s immense potential in the tourism sector.Despite huge opportunities, Bangladesh as a country has yet to fully capitalise on its untapped potential of the tourism sector.
