Sylhet Divisional Commissioner Khan Md. Reza-un-Nabi said, measurement is related to all ethnic groups in the world. Nothing in creation is beyond measurement. Therefore, measurement must be ensured in building an equal society, state and country. This measurement is changing through evolution. Everyone must contribute to building a beautiful society by ensuring the proper use of time and measurement. He called on everyone to give importance to the issue of measurement for the purpose of liberation in this world and the hereafter.
He said, there is no alternative to good governance to ensure justice. The main condition for establishing good governance is the establishment of justice, through which the path to building the desired society becomes smooth.
He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion meeting organized by the district administration and BSTI Sylhet on the occasion of World Metrology Day 2025 at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner of Sylhet on Wednesday (May 21) afternoon.
Assistant Professor Arif Ahmed of the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department of SUST, presented the main paper at the discussion meeting presided over by Sylhet Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Sher Mahbub Murad, while BSTI Sylhet Deputy Director and Office Head Md. Mazharul Haque delivered the welcome speech.
At the beginning, BSTI Sylhet officer Kazi Md. Burhan Uddin recited from the Holy Quran.
BSTI Sylhet Assistant Director Engineer Maryam moderated the discussion meeting, which was attended by Jasim Uddin, DGM of Fulkoli Food Products, Shahnewaz Rafiq, Deputy Manager of Lafarge Holcim, Ashraful Islam, Manager of Bengal Gaslun, Md. Shafiqul Islam, Senior Manager of PRAN RFL, Abdul Ahad, Senior Vice President of Sylhet District BRICS Owners Association.
Senior officials of the district administration, journalists and representatives of the civil society participated in the discussion meeting.
