‘World Habitat Day’ 2024 with the theme of “Engaging Youth to create a better urban.” Was observed in Mymensingh.
Mymensingh District Administration, Divisional Administration and Public Works Department Mymensingh organised various programs on Monday marking the day. District Administration Bhasha Shaheed Abdul Jabbar Auditorium organieed a discussion programme on World Habitat Day.
The chief guest was Tahmina Akhtar, Additional Divisional Commissioner (Revenue), Mymensingh, chaired by Dr. Moinul Islam, Additional Chief Engineer, Public Works Zone, Mymensingh was a special guest Azim Uddin Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mymensingh, Assistant Superintendent of Police Tahmina Akhtar, Assistant Professor, Department of Geography, Muminunnessa Women’s College, Executive Engineer, Mymensingh City Corporation The program was conducted by Muhammad Zillur Rahman Siddiqui, Executive Engineer, Public Works Department, Mymensingh. In the speech of the chief guest, Tahmina Akhtar said, “Effective initiatives should be taken to build developed cities by involving the youth to ensure employment, housing, education, medical care, transportation etc. for the growing population of our country and to transform the population into public resources.
