‘World Egg Day-2025’ was celebrated at Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University(CVASU) on Friday, through various programs. This year’s theme of Egg Day is ‘Eggs contain protein, should be eaten daily’.
The program, organized jointly by CVASU’s Department of Dairy and Poultry Science, Bangladesh Poultry Industries Central Council and World’s Poultry Science Association-Bangladesh branch, included a colorful procession, distribution of boiled eggs, sale of eggs at affordable prices and discussion meetings.
The World Egg Day program began with a colorful procession. CVASU’s Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr.Mohammad Lutfur Rahman led the procession and the university’s teachers, officials, students and employees participated.
Special guests were present at the meeting, including Professor Gautam Kumar Debnath, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of CVASU, Director(External Activities) Professor Dr. A. K. M. Saifuddin and Director of the Chattagram Divisional Livestock Department Dr. Md. Atiyar Rahman.
The discussion meeting was held under the chairmanship of Professor Dr. A. K. M. Humayun Kabir, Head of the Department of Dairy and Poultry Science of CVASU.
