Dr. Mahtab Hossain Mazed :

Every year on April 22, the “Earth Day” or “World Darish Day” is celebrated around the world. This is a day when people realize the importance of protecting the environment, nature and the earth and take various programs to raise awareness. As modern civilization progresses, the pressure on nature and the environment is increasing. On this day the people of the world are committed to keeping the world more habitable, green and sustainable. People from different countries are also regularly participating in this movement. The industrialized country has given the example of the envelope through discussion and writing. They are fighting to reduce carbon emissions to keep the earth habitable. The arrows of their complaint are on the industrialized countries. Originally industrialized countries are the protagonists behind the environmental warming of the environment.
Environmental catastrophe has caused great environmental disasters all over the world as a result of large factories, nuclear reactors, indiscriminate forests, rivers, etc. CFC gas, carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide gas emissions have increased due to the envelope of industrialized countries. The gas that is released as a filter of the earth is diluted and the surface of the earth is gradually becoming thinner. That is, the ozone layer is failing to send the temperature of the earth to the temperature of about 1 lakh 15 thousand degrees Celsius in the sun. Note that a balanced temperature for the earth is 10-42 degrees Celsius (may be low). But that balanced temperature is no longer prevailing, but the opposite is happening. Gradually, the earth is becoming heated by the end of the ice age. The temperature has risen to 63 degrees Celsius. A few years ago (on 8 June 2019), the Kuwait temperature created a world record. In Kuwait, the maximum temperature rose to 63 degrees Celsius. The wheels of the car have also melted in that heat. The surprising thing is that in the shaded area there was a temperature of 52 degrees Celsius. At that temperature it is difficult for a human being to survive.
In every life of nature, humans are just a life. There are also billions of lives in the world, which helps to save our lives. So we have to create an atmosphere of survival. In order to sustain the earth, we need to be respectful of inter -dependent souls and nature. We have a blue planet where there are about 80 million people and billions of animals. There are rivers, mountains, mountains, sea, desert, waterfalls. Our person has given us all the air, water, food, and all the living materials for living. Today, we are threatened by habitable climate change. Due to environmental catastrophe, such intense heat flux on the one hand and severe winter or floods, drought, storms, rain, tides or fires today are overwhelming. Human activities are very responsible for them. The mountains and mountains, the forests have been cut off. The rivers, canals-bills, and reservoirs have established habitat and industrial factories. Due to the decline in the forest, the amount of rainfall is decreasing and the heat flux is increasing. The heat flux of April this year reminds us that our festival is heating up day by day. The human body is getting tired of the intense heat wave. Water crisis is appearing in various reservoirs of the country. In order to protect against climate disasters, global temperatures need to be kept at 1.5 degrees Celsius. On top of this, the animal is less likely to survive.
History of World Earth Day:
World Earth Day was first celebrated in the United States on 22 April. US Senator Gelord Nelson started this day. He felt the need to create a mass awareness against environmental pollution, forest degradation, and destruction of wildlife and abuse of natural resources. About 2 million people participated in that first day of the 1970th. Since then it has been celebrated every year, and today it has spread to more than 190 countries.
In the context of Bangladesh:
Bangladesh is a climate-risky country. Every year, natural disasters such as floods, cyclones, rivers, droughts, etc. are regularly seen here. The effects of environmental imbalances and climate change are behind these disasters.
The government of Bangladesh and various NGOs are taking initiatives to protect the environment. Environmental awareness education has been introduced in schools and colleges. The Environmental Protection Act has been enacted. However, the participation of the people is the most important in this regard.
Earth is the only planet where there is life:
In this universe, the earth is the only novelist, where we know that life exists. The number of species of animals listed on earth is now 12 lakh, even though it is considered a small part of the total animal. In 2011 scientists speculated that there are about 87 million species in the natural world. This earth was formed about four decimals five billion years ago and because of its wealth, geological history and its orbit, the existence of life has survived for millions of years.
The Earth has a protection shield:
The magnetic field of the earth serves as a shield to protect the high levels of sun from particles. This magnetic field, from the interior of the elaborate earth to the outpoint, where it comes in contact with solar wind. This magnetic field helps many animals to find a way. It also helps us to direction through the compass.
Finally, I want to say that we have a moral responsibility as a conscious person in protecting it. We need to work together to protect the environment not only for us but the next generation to survive healthy and beautifully. ”
So, we believe that the world has enough opportunity to highlight the above issues through the celebration of World Day. The industrialized countries will be interrupted to some extent in their activities. So, we can say that the importance of the World Day is compared to other days of the day, so we call it important to highlight the significance of the day. Various programs are also organized on this day to raise awareness about the global climate crisis and the deterioration of the environment.
