A workshop titled ‘Outcome-Based Education: A Pathway to Accreditation’ organized by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur was held. The workshop held in the virtual classroom of Academic Building-2 on Wednesday morning was addressed as the chief guest by the university’s Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Shawkat Ali.
At that time, he said that the importance of contemporary education is increasing with time. Outcome Based Education will play a strong role in strengthening the education system of Bangladesh and improving the quality of education. The Vice-Chancellor said that Outcome Based Education is a systematic trend. Through this, quality teaching, creation of new knowledge, practical skills, analytical ability, prudence, etc. can be ensured for the students. He said that it has become necessary to introduce Outcome Based Education (OBE) curriculum at the university level to keep pace with the world of current and future students.
